I purchased this in May 2025 for my elderly mother, but she continued to use her existing commercially available chair and it was never used in the bath.
As you can see in the photos, there are no visible stains or scratches on either the front or back. The seat also shows little sign of use, likely because it was never used in the bath, so I believe you can use it comfortably. This is a smoke-free, pet-free, and child-free home.
